Yoga 101 Series

This class is for the absolute beginner to learn the foundations for a life long practice. Explore simple postures with more detailed instruction to allow greater focus on safety and alignment. The series will touch on all of the styles we offer at Dhanwantari. Come discover how yoga practice can meet you where you are, every time you come to your mat! 6 Week Series.

Curvy Yoga SeriesCurvy

Curvy Yoga classes are a safe, body-positive space for yogis of all shapes, sizes, and ability levels. Classes are intuitively sequenced and modifications offered to allow those with curvy bodies to develop strength, flexibility, and balance while also exploring the breath and deepening our awareness. It's a safe, fun environment and a practice that meets you right where you are.   Suitable for all levels.

Vinyasa 101

Explore simple postures with more detailed instruction to allow greater focus on safety and alignment. 4 week series.

Ashtanga 101

What is Ashtanga Yoga? From ashtanga.com: 

Ashtanga Yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

While Ashtanga has been called an 'advanced' practice, it's absolutely accessible to beginner students as traditionally taught in Mysore, India, where the series is individually taught to the student a bit at a time, adding on as poses are fully incorporated.

This new 8-week series will break down the poses in the Ashtanga Primary Series, allowing you to take the poses safely for your body. It can help prepare you for Ashtanga classes offered at Dhanwantari or help in safely building your home practice.

Vinyasa 201

What to do after Vinyasa 101? This continuing series continues where Vinyasa 101 leaves off, allowing you to continue to explore a Vinyasa practice with ample time for questions. We'll revisit the basics and continue to add both poses and depth throughout. 6 week series.

Yin 101

Whether you're new to yin or looking for a weekly practice, this series has you covered. It's designed to build the foundation of a home practice, while providing a full yin practice in each session. Each week we'll work through a well-rounded series of yin poses, with extra time provided to make notes and ask questions.
